Who is Mound Westonka Rotary?

The Mound-Westonka Rotary Club is a local chapter of Rotary International serving the Westonka area around Lake Minnetonka, including Mound, Minnetrista, Minnetonka Beach, and nearby communities. Rotary's motto is "Service Above Self," and the club focuses on community service, fundraising, scholarships, and humanitarian projects both locally and internationally.

Some key facts about the club:

• Founded in 1962, it has been serving the local community for more than 60 years.

• It supports projects such as:

• High school scholarships

• Food shelf and community assistance programs

• Christmas Adopt-A-Family

• School supplies and Eagle Scout projects

• Local community improvements in the Mound area

• The club is known for organizing Tonka Brew Fest, a major community fundraiser that has

  raised over $100,000 for charitable causes.

Members include local business owners, professionals, educators, retirees, and community leaders who meet regularly for networking, guest speakers, and service projects.

The club is part of Rotary District 5950, which serves central Minnesota. Meetings are typically held at the Lafayette Club and Cabana Anna’s.
